2004 SL500 Audio problem (maybe)
Command module works and displays correct images, just no sound. Traced fiber optics to the 3 remaining components (behind the seats) and tested them in order - I have light at 'radio-out lead' that goes first to amp. When lead is plugged into amp I have no light at the CD Cnanger (the next component in line). Using bypass clip at amp, I then get the light at CD Changer. Going further down the line I have no light at phone module. Bypassing again at CD Changer and light makes it all the way to phone module but does not come back out to 'radio-in' lead. Bypass the phone module (this is the third bypass in the system), and light finally appears at 'radio-in' lead.
So - all 3 components in the audio system do not function (no lights from any of the components). I find it inconceivable that all 3 components would malfunction therefore I suspect some sort of master electrical failure that keeps power from these 3 components.
Here is then the question for all of you - is there an electrical relay or fuselink that could account for all 3 components to not function? I have already checked all the known fuse locations (under hood and behind passenger rear seat, as well as fuse next to amp) and they are not blown. Where else can I check for a 'no power' situation to these 3 components?
