Hey guys, new member here. Lurking around for the most part right now, i'm beginning research and shopping with plans to acquire an E55 AMG in the next year. I've always been a big MB/AMG fan, with family descending from Stuttgart I've visited the area, toured the museum and factory and have owned an E63 AMG for a short time period, but it just wasn't the right time then (lived in Downtown Chicago with no garage at the time). Now living in CO with a large shop to maintain/modify my vehicles its about time to add a proper German musclecar to our stable. Current rigs include my wifes Duratec 2.3 Ford Escape (current project, fabricating a turbo kit), our 1950 ****** CJ3a rock crawler, my daily driver is a highly modified 650hp/1200lbft 7.3L diesel F350 and we also have a 1999 BMW E39 which serves as our "extra" car which will shortly be put up for sale to clear out room for the eventual E55.

Thanks to all for the great community here and all of the knowledge available. The forum has been extremely helpful as I shop and scheme the plans for our next toy.
