Question Engine Droning at 1000 RPMs

Hello, two days ago i traded in my '06 Cadillac DTS for an '04 S500 and couldn't be happier. I just have one issue that I'm dealing with that i can't put my finger on. At 1000 RPMs, i hear a droning sound coming from my engine accompanied by a very slight vibration. Above or below 1000 RPMs, the car rides like a dream so i have to assume some sort of censor is out of sorts. Anyone here have any insights? Thanks in advance.

What year is your S500? Does the vehicle have hydraulic (ABC) suspension or air suspension?

Update

UPDATE on engine droning at 1000 rpms. I took the car back to the dealer i purchased it from and they do not have a solution. They checked the water pump, alternator, and belts and didn't find the issue. We ran out of time so i will be back in a week to try again. Recent research has led me to the Throttle Position Censor. I've read that it is an issue on the W220 and could potentially be my problem. The car is slow to take off and at 1000 rpms, the droning could be the engine revving to catch up. New to mercedes diagnostics so any help and input would be much appreciated.

Thanks
