We recently started looking for a GLS to purchase. We found a vehicle that’s a year old with 175 miles with a private seller. Negotiations took place. We feel good about the price. Ends up the vehicle is in a personal lease. The owner says we can do a lease buyout purchase. My bank said they can facilitate the deal with Mercedes.
Does it seem like a scam? The car is 1 year old and the guy has literally never driven it. CARFAX is fine. I’m wondering if there’s any known scams that people do that I should watch out for. I’ve never purchased a lease vehicle.
