New here. My car is leaking gas
Hello, my name is Jerry from San Diego.
just bought a 2004 E320 from a private party. It had a half tank so when it was time to get gas I filled it up. When I got home it smells real bad . Backed it out of the garage and it spilled fuel on the driver's side rear.
Well I removed the back seat and removed the inspection cover over the fuel pump/sending unit.
And found this. I called MB and they said there are no recalls for this problem. Wtf my 63 Nova doesn't leak gas. But.
Am I screwed?

Its not a recall, its a warranty extension.. There should be something on the VMI for the vehicle that any service advisor can, related to this issue for 2003-8 E-class and CLS vehicles
what is your VIN#?

The dealership replaced the gas tank today and a bunch of other stuff under the extended gas tank warranty.
Sounds like I'm good to go.
Resonator delete might be soon.
I'm looking for a little more sound out of the car.
