Bimmers but car less now
New by seeking S55 AMG
Hello everyone,
I’ve always owned bimmers 7 series but now interested in normally aspirated S55 AMG.
Have my my eye on an 01 w 110k that looks very nice. I’m thinking about going to see it this weekend. They’re asking $7999.
I found an AMG specialist Indy shop near the generic dealer that is selling the car.
Ive read up on what to look out for, abc, hoses, various leaks, and all the electrical gizmos.
I like older model things. I have a 1970 Harley shovel head rigid chopper, 2000 Ford truck, 1971 searay boat, and I’m old as well. I purchased my first bmw 735 in 1992 I just donated it w 295,xxx as tranny failed.
Im ready for a Benz now and love the S55 especially AMG.
Any my reason I should stay away from a 2001 vintage S55 AMG? I do plan on getting a thorough pre purchase inspection.
