Hi mbworld. My name is ricklemon342 and I live in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. I have been driving a 2003 Iridium Silver w220 s430 4Matic for several years, but recently bought a 2011 w221 s550, also silver and a 4Matic. I am going to sell my w220 which is still a beautiful car (108,000 miles), but before I can sell it, I have to repair the dreaded soft close/locking problem. I am going to attempt the diagnosis and repair myself. I previously replaced the PSE pump, but it stopped working shortly thereafter. My plan of attack is to go back to the PSE pump with a vacuum/pressure pump and gauge and try to determine which of the door/trunk lines is leaking the most and try to replace/repair those first. Please wish me luck and pass on any useful information that you think might help. I am going to check out your forums for any help they might provide.
