2009 CLS 350 CGI
Engine no.:272985 31 152358 (outside defective camshaft balancer range) Car was running pretty good, except an erratic / rough cold start. Warm start was fine.
Fault Codes 1208 - Constant adjustment of intake camshaft of right cylinder bank in direction 'Retarded' (P0016) 1212 - Constant adjustment of intake camshaft of left cylinder bank in direction 'Retarded' (P0018)
MB dealership cranked engine to 305 degrees - confirmed timing stamps beneath CAMSHAFT position sensors are NOT dead centre = timing out / incorrect timing. Now the engine won't start, its cranks over (slowly they said), but no start. Can anyone help me understand why this might be? - or give any advice what to do next?
