I accidentally left my fob in my GLC 300. I closed the door and all of the doors locked. With the keys inside I was unable to get in the car. Is anyone familiar with this happening? Thank you.
No; and my cell phone was in the same pouch as my car keys. I went to dealer service this morning and the service writer informed me that when the keys are in the car merely touching the handle will lock all doors. I was surprised to learn that.
I did the same thing with a brand new Volvo XC-90 back in 2011. Called Volvo Road service they sent a lock smith out who put a balloon type devise between the door and frame. He pumped it up and it expanded the door frame out and he was able to reach in with a metal devise and open the door. Did not hurt the door and i learned my lesson. Mercedes road side should be able to help you on this?
