Hello with a question
Obviously a new member on this board, and I have been reading through the posts regarding the E550 and E63. I am new to the Mercedes world and I could use some pointing in the right direction.
Living in Edmonton, AB I am well versed on the typical blue collar and oil field cars and trucks. I drive a 2011 Ram 2500(with a 6spd manual!) for my daily/work, the wife has a 2016 Ford Edge. I have been looking for a second car for myself as the truck is just too big or annoying. I have found 2 cars that I am interested in, but I can not make a final decision on.
First car I found is a 2014 E550 (vin WDDHF9BB7EA824413) . Has the distronic and premium package. Roughly 100k km. Very clean minus a few bumper issues but that would be fixed as condition of the sale.
Second car is a 2011 E63 AMG (vin WDDHF7HB0BA432607). It has the performance package and premium 1, might also have the night vision and driver assistance package. New brake pads and rotors and 4 new tires also
My question is this. For a secondary car for myself/family what would be a better choice? Routine maintenance, any known issues or common problems to be concerned with? The car would be occasional use for around town and the odd road trip or just family outings. Both cars are within 1000km of each other for mileage, and within $1200 for price.
Questions or comments, I appreciate any advice in my decision making.

Welcome I would take the newer car but then for you it would depend on how you will be using the car. I would prefer the comfort of the E550
