Hello everyone,
My name is James. I drive a 2010 Mercedes C300 with 90,000 miles on it. It had 60,000 when I bought it and I absolutely love it. However, recently I brought it to my mechanic because of a loud grinding noise coming from underneath the car. He informed me that I need a new transfer case. I did some research mainly on this forum and I learned that this is a common problem. I saw that there was some sort of service bulletin out about it and Mercedes was helping cover some of the cost of the repair? Any help would be very appreciated. I am a college student and I can't afford a $5000+ bill.
