Insurance says 09 GL550 totaled-$15k in repairs
USAA says vehicle total loss due to $15k in damage and estimating car to be worth only $19k. Sounds ridiculous that these pics could be $15k in damage, I was only going 15mph when I rear ended car in front of me. I really like the car and can't believe they are saying that much damage, sure doesn't look that bad. They are saying that each head light is $1450 each and BOTH are damaged. Pics don't look like drivers side light damaged. They said there is a clip on back of headlights holding on and broke off.
Anyone have any ideas? I thought of getting second opinion to see if we can salvage vehicle. USAA will give me $19k if they keep vehicle and $12k if we take back. Would think I could get this fixed for $12k
