MBZ 2002 C32
2002 C32 owner (198K) considering E550 Coupe
Greetings,
Newbie here ...
purchased my first MBZ used in 2005, as a 2002 C32 (1 of 1600 built) w 28K miles. Its been lust ever since, currently at 198K miles. Kind of a performance preference guy, so a few upgrades over the years:
limited slip diff upgrade (how did AMG not have this as std ?), pulley and belt tensioner, software mapping and half the cats for improved breathing, cut a full turn from coils, upgraded the solenoid trans to shift proper, etc etc. (im sure you dont want to hear excessively about >15 year old C class w upgrades).
Looking into purchasing a near 2015 E550 Coupe. Thought process is less than $40K for the purchase, and invest $20K for mods could be a fun way to spend some time.
Would anyone provide some general comments or insight into the fun factor or warnings ?
MBZ has moved away from prev gen rear wheel body crease, or even side creases in their current generation anymore, so it is a buyers market for the older used stock.
Thanks
