Question Newbie in. Breather pipe behind oil dipstick?

Hi,

Just new to forum. My W204 2011 220Cdi Sport just had a horrible bit of open, big end surgery.

Recon crank, 3 rods, loads other ****e... Cost 50% value of her... 3/6. Tears rolling only now dry on the cheeks. Seems crank was oil starved, ground out some nasty costs...

First I knew was pot3 SMACKING head. Stopped. Cried. Called my grandad for a tow...

Back now. 600mile on.

She’s throwing the p2006 fault which is kinda - hey how? Right?

Anyways, after all this, I notice an open upright tube, directly behind my dipstick. Larger than dipstick. Must be a breather. Google’s a *******. You guys know best.

She was originally opened partially in garage A. Sent to garage B (chest clamps in place). Sent to garage C where her heart was taken out and kicked around (a very clean?) workshop... “All components always in boot”...

Back to my watering eyes... Only thing I’ve done is replace oil so far.

Just want to finish the job. Which hose is missing from the breather near dipstick and the rest of her beating world?

She’s now running great. 65mph max. Getting 53mpg. Scared AF to use throttle.

Anyone any ideas/same experiences?

cheers!
Alex
