1998 E300 w210 diesel losing prime
The problem now, I went on vacation let the car sit for 2 weeks when I went to start it just cranked, so first thing I charged the battery to give it a little more umps! Just a few kicks nothing no start. So I replaced the fuel filter and cleaned out the pre filter which was pretty clean to start. Put FRESH diesel in the new filter, went to start and still no start but kicking a lot so I took the filter off again filled it and the pre filter. Let the battery charge for 2 hours I have a big charger with 200 amp quick start. I cranked it and it was kicking so I kept trying and wham it started and ran perfectly. Took it out ran it around the block normal.
So this morning I tried it and I had to crank it a few times to get the fuel to it.
I see no leakage anywhere, it runs and accelerates completely normal.
Sorry I like being thorough, what is making it lose prime the 606's engines are self priming no manual pump like my old W123 D's.
Any help to get me in the right direction, maybe vacuum issue?
Thank you
