2002 S55 AMG (220) Strange electrical problems after jump start from L/F sam
Hi yall Im Gunther from Nicks Mercedes in Walnut Creek, Ca. We have 2002 S55 AMG and car got tow in. Clients states that he had car jumped from someplace in left front Sam. Since then no communication with ESP, ABC. SOME CAN bus CODES, Instrument Cluster display malfunction. The car always starts but it's in limp home mode. Tested all fuses and found one preamp fuse bad so we replaced pre fuse box. Same thing. Tested can bus 120 ohms. Tested can in ESP module 35 kohms Same with ABC and ETC6 modules. Is that normal. I always thought that the CAN in ecu's should have about 60 ohms of resistance, at least the older cars did. Am I missing something? Any help would be deeply appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, this problem happened about 1 1/2 years ago, but if I remember correctly the jump start at L/front sam burned out both the ABC and the ESP modules. Replaced them both and everything went back to specs
