1st Time Mercedes Owner
I'm a w211 E280 owner. But actually here for in-depth technical hints and info on w213 , as my customer is working on a project with those cars.
I'm particularly interested in CAN database info, so I can analyse messages with my PC CAN tools. I don't mean ODB readers, I'm used to in-depth CAN development and want to see the actual de-coded CAN traffic. I'll have a hunt in the forums and post in relevant ones,

I'm a first time MB owner, and, I've bought a 220CDI from 2006,automatic gearbox, with only 74k miles.
The problem is that, being a BMW fan for a while, I don't know much about MB, so, I have a problem with my gearbox.
In the morning,a have a push from the 1st to 2nd gear, that last until the engine reaches around 70 degrees, after that, it changes smoothly.
The second problem is that it changes the 3rd gear after 2600-2700 RPMs, that I don't think it's normal, it's not on S mode, is on C.
The third problem is that once the engine is at 90 degrees, in the 2nd gear, it mumbles, lime its chocking, like its going under RPM.
Now, I've read about the Valeo rad problems, with glycol in the transmission fuel, that this might be the problem, but, I know that it can be from the gearbox fluid level as well, or, never been changed.
The plan is that, I've bought gear fluid, filter, gasket, and, also, the control unit, that is after market, not MB original.
What is the advise from anyone that might had this problem?
Thank you for you support, and, I respect the knowledge that you all have.

Greetings from Central Florida! I have 2012 CLS63 AMG and 2014 ML350 with 90k miles
I have questions about CLS charging system. Please guide me where should I go (because I didn't find answer on my question) or should I open a new thread in AMG forum?
Thanks!

Welcome to the forum. I too just joined.
Anyway, I chose the X164 body over the X166 as the round, curvier body just isn't my cup of tea. Everything on this X164 works! The Carfax shows all maintenance completed on time and done only at the MB dealerships. It is in immaculate condition for its age with minor wear in the usual places. The only thing missing is the remote and headphones for the entertainment system. The wife drives an X5 and once she drove the MB she pleaded to swap cars. I love her but "no, sweetheart!" You will notice the cargo box on top as we are taking her out for a camping trip.
Here are some photos I took first thing this morning at 6 am. Thank you for indulging me.
All the best,
Pory from the beautiful Pacific Northwest

p.s. If anyone is curious about the last photo in the background, look past the boats and you'll see the tails sticking up in the air, they are all the new 737 Max planes parked waiting for FAA to clear to deliver. Sad. There are literally over 75 planes just in this lot alone.
