Howdy folks,
Just wanted to stop by to say hello to all members here in MBWorld. I've just acquired n W211 E550 and it's been good so far. Before buying this car I was set on getting an E55 but got a bit tired of looking at cars not very well maintained and or abused. When I arrived to buy the car and the owner said..."oh yeah, I forgot to tell you about the ABS/ESP lights on the dash; it's intermittent but the car runs great".
The car was owned by a single guy since new; bought the car back in '09 for his wife and she drove the car 99% of the time. They really did a good job keeping it in good mechanical and cosmetic condition. Previous owner is a Mechanical Engineer and did plenty of maintenance on the car himself. Last job he performed was lower control arms and Arnott replacements on all 4 corners. Somehow when putting everything back together he re-installed the front ABS sensors on top of the plastic covers instead of under them. Both front sensors were not picking up the needed signal from the rings.

I found out about this after jacking up the car to replace the sensors with new ones. I made sure the sensors on the car worked OK by installing them correctly before replacing both of them with the new ones since I had them on hand.

I'm not new to German cars having owned an M3, M5, 540i, Merkur(s) and a few others; my other current car is an 996 C2. Enough..now onto the pics of my E550!

Have a nice day y'all! - Nic

Welcome! Looks great. You will fit right in, with the resume of German autos!

How did you find the vehicle? Was it listed on one of the main car selling sites, or something more local?

Feel free to post a photo of the P-car!

Thanks! - I found it through my local Craigslist; it had been listed for a few weeks but since I was looking for an E55 I didn't really consider it when searching the listings.

Here are a couple of pics of my 996 and the other 6-Cylinder car in the stable....
