7Hey how's it going my name is Frank I just became a Mercedes Benz owner this year in February and I love my car. Unfortunately the only pictures I got are after it got smashed by tree. I got a pretty good deal on it , I think. It had 111,000 miles on it it's a 2000 E550. What's the best car I ever owned it's the fastest car ever owned it was in such great shape. I would look for opportunities to drive it to give people rides here and there I love the car. But it was on one of those nights I was just giving somebody a ride we had a bad storm and a tree basically blew right down on the front of the car and smashed the windshield I need a hood I need a grill I need a bumper cover I need an air conditioner condenser and who knows what else. I had it towed to a body shop and got an estimate of $6,058 and that's the start. Who knows what they would find when they start pulling it apart. But I want to know should I keep it and have it repaired.it has sentimental value because I bought it with money that my parents left me in their estate. I looked online and I could replace it with the same car for the same price that they're charging me to fix it. What I want to know should I sell my car as a whole unit or should I part it out the motor is good I could probably get a thousand $2,000 for the motor does anybody have experience with that

I'm in a quandary here I don't know whether to tell this body shop to fix my car or to get it back and try to buy another one I can get another one for about the same price to fix it. I love my 2007 E550 it was the best car I ever had and I don't want to lose it. I hope somebody can give me some information or inspiration as to what to do thanks for your help

This is what concerns me. You can tell the exterior repairs that are needed, but what about any interior issues, such as electrical components? The shop may not know until they get into it. It's a shame the car has been so good to you, but I don't know if I would take a chance with it.
