So, I just bought a 13' E550 about 4 months ago and love it. I dont think I'll be able to own anything other than a Mercedes as my daily or newer car. I still have my garbage project vehicles to keep me busy haha. Anyways I do have a few questions as I will need to do brakes soon and heard that you can throw some bigger, drilled rotors on the rear off of an AMG and was wondering what model would I be looking at to do so? It looks a little odd to me having big front drilled brakes and smaller blank rotors so I'd like them to match. Also was wondering if anyone has seen or heard of any better performing struts and shocks? I know Bilstein makes a kit but it lowers it 10mm to 30mm and I dont really want to lower it as it sits at a nice stance already and I also live in MN so it does see winter and the potholes are awful. I'd like any info on the M278 engine as to like if it has any common failures or quality of life upgrades to do to it as mine has 96k miles on it now but has been regularly serviced at a MB dealer. No, this one came with standard suspension. Kinda glad it did, I've seen nightmares with air suspension living in MN takes a huge toll on air suspensions.
