Back passenger side of 2006 c230 sport kompressor engine next to where intake connects.

WAS DRIVING JUST FINE. NO ISSUES. THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN IT STARTED RUNNING ROUGH AND HITTING GAS IS LIKE A CAT, IT WILL GET BACK TO YOU LATER. WHAT PART IS THIS? IS IT A FULL ENGINE TAKE OUT FIX? HOW BAD OFF AM I? WHAT CAUSES THIS? IS MY MOTOR CAPUT??

something had to hit that area to make a hole. Maybe a rock flew up or it just may have been a defective part and it finally gave way. Good luck on changing the part out.
