I have a 1984 Mercedes 300d-t transmission issue.
I am having issues with the automatic transmission shifting correctly. Hoping someone can give me ideas. It shifts from 1st to 2nd at 20 mph and from 2nd to 3rd at 40 to 45 mph and no sooner. And from 3rd to 4th gear at 75 mph and no sooner. Then if you let it get down to about 68 mph it will shift back to 3rd gear. I fixed all the vacuum leaks and replaced the modulating valve on the side of the transmission and checked the pressure and it did not change how it shifted. Any advice would be great. Thanks
