New(bie) on the block.
I recently got my driver's license, and I "inherited" the family car: a 2005 E220CDI (W211) Avantgarde, with 5G-Tronic Automatic Gearbox.
My father wanted to give me a 2013 BMW 3 series a while back, however I simply told him: "the best or nothing".
In all seriousness, this car has been accompanying me and my family since 2011, and what can I say? What a brilliant car. Comfortable, spacious, prestigious, frugal, refined (for a diesel at least) and just magnificent looking.
This was the car that really got me into car culture, I learned to drive on it (although I learnt to drive manual on a 1986 Corolla that belonged to my grandfather).
The car itself has at the moment 317000km, or somewhere around there, and I don't plan to sell it any time soon, it symbolises the level of quality and reliability Mercedes should be striving to reach, and for that it is very dear to me.
That said, I have a lot to learn, and a lot to share, hence why I joined this forum.
Thanks for reading!
P.S.: I wanted to take the car somewhere nice, but the driveway is all I could manage, seeing as the current COVID-19 epidemic doesn't really allow people to leave home.
