Obligatory Newb Post C63
My new Merc.
I’ve driven Audis and Volkswagens for 20 years, and now that I feel older (not the years, it’s the mileage) it was time to get a more grownup set of wheels.
The car is a 2011 C63 AMG, IrAg metallic in color. 64,000 miles. From what I can see after a week and about a thousand miles, in perfect condition.
I am an Aircraft Machinist by trade, my specialty is in rework(overhaul) of gas turbine engines and landing gear components.
For my VWs and Audis I use a product called Vag-Com made by Ross-Tech. It allows complete access to pretty much every manufacturer settable setting. For example, if I wanted to recode the lighting control module to ROW instead of USA to leave fog lights on with high beam, there is a setting for that.
If I wanted to shut off the DRL, there is a setting for that, seatbelt warnings, door buzzers blah blah...
Is there a Mercedes equivalent that enthusiasts use?
