Brown stuff on black wheels

My 2019 E63 has Black AMG Forged Cross-Spoke Wheels, I believe they're semi-gloss ones. I've noticed that in the corners and right behind the spokes there's a brown discoloration, that doesn't really go away with a car wash. I've done some research and it appears that this might be caused by break dust, but wanted to check with the experts here.

If it is a break dust, should I purchase a good wheel cleaner like P21S, or is this a bigger problem that I should have a dealer look into? As you can see it's worse on some wheels.

Thank you!

@alank Welcome! Please post a photo of the E63. How familiar are you with German cars, and cars in general? This is brake dust.

The dust can be wiped away by hand with a cloth dampened with water.

Enjoy the AMG!

Thank you for the warm welcome and for responding so quickly!

I am very familiar with German cars, or I think i am , having owned them since 1995, but I have never encountered this problem before. The thing is that it doesn't come off with a water dampened cloth, which leads me to believe that either the discoloration is caused due to the defect, or I need to get a better wheel cleaner. It's also worth mentioning that I just bought this CPO AMG, so maybe the previous owner didn't take care of the wheels for the year hey had it. ¯\_(ツ)_/
