I have had my 2011 Mercedes E350 for 4 years now. I went to put my car in reverse to back into a spot and my entire gear shifter fell off into my hand. I couldn’t put it into park because it was hanging by wires. Had this happened to anyone else before? I cannot put it into drive to even drive the anywhere. How would this even be fixed?
Welcome! Sorry to hear about the shifter. Take the car to a dealer or independent shop that specializes in Mercedes or German cars, and they can give you an estimate of the repair cost. There might be a charge to receive the estimate.
