I'm Garret and have just recently purchased my first Mercedes, a 2001 S500. I've always admired these cars, even with their faults and requirements. @garretml Welcome! Looks great. Can you share any of the history, story or plans about and for the vehicle?
Right now my plans are to just remedy some of the faults with the vehicle. It's 19 years old and I'm the 5th owner, even with just 103k miles, it needs some love that it hasn't received in a very long time. I made a post in the W220 forum about some of the issues.
After I get some of the faults sorted, I'd like to do the 03 facelift with a nicer set of wheels. Then source some AMG seats for the interior.
