New here-ML320 W164 remote issue
Hi guys,
i have an W164 and there is a problem with locking/unlocking.
i need to be very close to car or IR on handle to lock/unlock.
I tried to remove rear SAM and found some water underneath the SAM, opened the SAM mand there was nothing significant.

can you help me with this?

batteries in the remote?
Around 1yrs, car battery 2 yrs

I change the remote batteries in my remotes once a year. I believe the car battery would be the only thing to effect the sam. Do you have 2 batteries in the car One under the hood the other in the trunk area? The one in the trunk area would be the one controlling the remotes I believe. I would have them tested. Any auto parts place should do it for free.

Main battery is under the passenger seat, maybe the auxiliary is next to it.

I will change the taillight seals for sure, there is video showing water under the SAM
