Hey all, just wanted to introduce myself. I'm owner of a new to me 2014 e350 wagon. Technically it's my wife's car but I'll be borrowing it every chance I get and will be doing most maintenance myself .
Before we started having kids I had a 2004 VW r32 but with a 6 year old and 3 year old twins, the days of two-door sports cars are long gone. The e350 wagon seems like a good compromise, especially with the 3rd row. Looking forward to learning more about these cars and sharing my experiences on these forums.
After leasing for the past 6 years, I'm excited to get back wrenching on my own cars and modding (tastefully of course). First mod will be to swap back to the stock wheels, sadly. 35s are just not enough meat for daily driving, especially for my wife who still doesn't know how to change a tire. Will be selling the AMG wheels and rubber if anyone is interested.
Here's a pic of the new ride as it was delivered yesterday.
Thanks for the words of welcome! I am mostly reading and searching for now. Lots of good info for my purposes. I also like to be a good noob and read/search first before creating new threads on topics that have been addressed already. I'm sure I'll have questions once I start wrenching in the next week or two. Car doesn't need anything as far as I can tell but since it's a used purchase, I want to do regular service stuff (oil, plugs and filters) so I am sure of the intervals going forward. Also, with 67,000 on the clock I am prepping for a transmission fluid change in the next month or so.
