Gorgeous new to me car, doesn't run gorgeous...

Hey forumers, where german engineering fans unite !
My situation seems typical, except for the fact that my car has ultra low miles (22000) or 35000 KM's. The car starts great, but as it warms up, or as time goes on (10-15 min) it runs bad, vacuum gauge saggy, stutters off the line, bad fuel mileage, little power, and then it stalls.
Here is what have done...
new plugs bosch copper core
wirers cap rotor are tested good
new fuel accumulator, old one was leaking back to tank, system holds pressure correctly
fuel return test, i have over 1.5L in 40 seconds
new fuel filter, and tank screen cleaned
new fuel pump relay
fuel pressure upper and lower chambers 6.4 and 6 bar. Good
battery voltage and charging system Good, tested with Solar battery tester
Engine compression tested 165psi x 8
No vaccuum leaks, built and used my own smoke generator.
Idle control valve and EHA both seem to work, based on unplugging them while engine is running and i hear a change in RPM.
ANY Suggestions ???

Thanks for the link, my car uses the x11 diagnostic port only. I did however check all my fuses

Welcome! Please post a photo of the SL.

You listed a number of fuel related repairs, a vacuum check. Seems like it is ignition or sensors. Air flow sensor or O2 sensor would be starting points. Engine temperature and throttle position sensors should also be looked at. I would replace the entire ignition system as a matter of good practice on a 30 year old vehicle. Wires, cap, distributor, etc. I'm not familiar with the main sensors for this engine/year, but start with the main ones and go from there.

Mercedes went through a phase of using biodegradable wiring that biodegraded too quickly. Could this be a factor with your vehicle? It might have been later than your model year.
