Greetings from Germany
Hi my name is Yohan and i'm from Germany.
My father drove several W124 and W202 when i was growing up so naturally i followed his path. The first car i bought in 2017 was a W203 C220, which i had for a bit less than a year. I took good care of it, but sold it in 2018 to buy a W211 E220 (2008) which i still drive today. I got the car in May 2018 with 205000km and full service history. The car is currently at 310000km and still performs excelent. I drive a good bit and love how reliable it is. In 2019 i kind of missed the W203 and decided to get a fun weekend car, so i imported a C32 with 72000km from Japan. The car arrived in Germany in April and i did quite a bit of work on it before registering it. Besides getting it to EU spec, i also changed all filters, fluids and worn out bushings, control arms, brakes and suspension. To preserve the rust free condition i did a cavity seal. However after 8 months i noticed an itching for a bit more emotional 8 cylinder car. I decided to put the car up for sale and see, if anyone would take it for a decent price. Luckily a decent buyer showed up and took the car for a very fair price in January 2020. At that time i was looking for an C55, since i liked the W203 and the M113+ 722.6 5G were a reliable combo. My dream car however was a W211 E55, but the upkeep cost kept me from looking at them. The market price difference between C55 and E55 wasn't that much, so i thought "what the hell" and went for an E55. After scouting for a bit i bought one in January 2020, a few weeks after selling the C32. It's a 2005 E55 in 960 Alabaster white imported from Japan (ironic buying a german car from Japan which has been imported to Germany). Car had 101000 km when i got it. Ever since i spent a good bit of time working on it. Like on the C32 i changed all fluids and filters and some worn items. The Bosch IC pump broke pretty quickly, so i replaced it with a Pierburg CWA100 (W211 E63s pump). That's where the mod bug hit me. Since then i've changed some things on the car. I wired the IC pump to start running on ignition and will be replacing the water heat exchanger for a bigger one. The stock manifolds on the M113k are crap, so i seized the opportunity to get Renntech midtube headers with an oem E63 exhaust system. Interiorwise i changed the steering wheel to the P30 CLK 63 Black Series steering wheel and swapped in the facelift shifter trim along with a CLS 219 shifter knob.I swapped the whole japanese radio system to a German ECE oem Harman Kardon system. Exteriorwise i have the facelift boot lid and E63 trunk spoiler, which i will install after getting them painted, along with facelift rear lights. The stock rims have been replaced with 19" BBS CH-R, so enough room for the 380mm PP brake that will be installed this year as well. I hope this wasn't too much text, to make up for it, here are some pics.
