C300 Emergency braking comes on without warning
Hi all, My name is John and I'm from South Australia. I have recently purchased a 2020 C300 (4 weeks ago to be exact) and already had a very unpleasant experience. I was cruising along with cruise control set to 60klm when suddenly the emergency braking system came on dropping the speed from 60 down to 42klms. Luckily the car following had a 4 car gap to mine, and he was able to avoid slamming into me. Suffice to say that he was not happy at all, waving his arms at me, thinking what the hell is going on with you. The road ahead was clear with the nearest car being about 4 car lengths ahead there for there was no reason for the emergency brake to activate. I called my local dealer and book the car in for a check, in fact I have just picked it up, but they could not find anything wrong with it. They allegedly run all the diagnostics and could not find any faults. Just wondering, has anyone experienced a similar incident?
