Load/Luggage assist trunk flap interference
Hi Everyone, I'm new to MB. Just bought my first SL550.
I'm having an issue with the load asist and roof flaps hitting
2 issues
#1
When the roof is stowed and I open the trunk, the load assist moves the roof up automatically making teh "red button " useless
#2 as the roof raises the folding partitions hit the " trunk flaps". I can push the trunk higher but then the red light flashes and nothing works until I pull the trunk down a bit ,
as the trunk closes the same flap interference happens in reverse
I'm not sure why the roof lifts automarically instead of having to push the red button and is the mechanism "out of time or sequence"
Any ideas would be appreciated
P.S. I dont beleive the struts are weak when I push the trunk up it stays - perhaps I need to reset the trunk opening limit somehow ?
Then again .... it may be the struts not pushing the trunk far enough up..
Thanks !
