Sl55 purchase questions
HI, I am a new member! My 04 E55 got totaled so I am looking for a 2007+ SL55 now. Driving my second car until I get another AMG. Initially I wanted a SL55 with the p30 but couldn't find any in North America for months. I do not care about the color combo as long as it isn't white and grey (which is the only one I found with around 50k miles or less) since I have been searching.
I was just about to buy a 07 Sl55 25k miles that had every option except the p30 and pano roof but the guy refused to let Mercedes do a pre-purchase inspection which is enough of a red flag especially since it is only 15mins down the road and just recovered from a minor fender bender.
I found another 07 SL55 around the same price 35k miles but the window sticker shows ZERO options. Weird, I have never seen that before. However the has a carbon trim on the car and it shows on the VIN decoder but not the window sticker. It has ventilated seats and I can retrofit a pano roof on it myself. This guy has no problems taking it for a Pre Purchase inspection and even has a ceramic coating on the car which is about a year old.
Any purchase advice? I don't want to rush a purchase and wish I had whatever options on the car.
Does anyone know what the options list looks like for these 07+ models?
Are there any MUST have options with the SL55?
Did any options become standard in the 2007+ model years?
I have w211 E55 parts that I will be posting to sell soon. Carbon LED fog lights etc.
