Hello MBfam. New member from CA. Just picked up a 2011 s550 with 81k miles and am extremely enjoying it. Couple issues right off the bat i need alittle help with!! To start off, bad motor mounts which made the transmission mount go bad. Replaced all that. Then a humming/whirring sound coming from rear differential. Local indy shops say its the rear diff carrier bearings. Has anyone opened a rear diff up to see how bearings are put togeather? Are they Pressed in or not? Was hoping to take on job myself before going to stealer! Have all tools needed to do so if bearings are not pressed. Any help helps! Thanks fam! Looking forward to sharing progress!
