C205 c63s amg Coupe stuck in park water damage
Hi friends, new to the group. Have just recently purchased a c205 c63s coupe. Was running but now won't come out of park. Has had some water damage, was parked in an underground car park that filled up with water. Was told water didnt enter the vehicle but having doubts now. Any ideas to get it out of park so it can be moved? Useful posts would be much appreciated 👍

Not sure how this resolves my issue of getting it out of park? I've bought the car as is, I am just after any ideas of 1) what could be causing it to be stuck in park (all the instrument cluster lights work) and 2) any way to get it in neutral so it can be pushed around. Thanks

Not sure if it applies to your car, but my CLK430 had a small opening on the shifter bezel made for this situation. If it's there remove the little plastic plug and use a pen to push the release down with the key on, foot on brake pedal and pull the shifter down. My CLK had this same problem.
My CLK had a circuit board under the shifter that if it got wet would not communicate with the steering of transmission locks. Bad design.....with a drink holder 3 inches away! Good luck!
