SiriusXM won't work, but getting previews
Nubee here. Never posted before, but have used this site as a handy reference guide. 😉
I was unable to get my SiriusXm radio to work. I got the preview channel just fine, no matter how many refresh signals I requested or they sent it wouldn't load.
it worked fine in my 2012 SRX, My 2015 Verano, and my 2001 Tahoe. Then I realized they all depended on SXM weather, traffic, and other data. Our Mercedes have a different system that handles all that. Thus, the extra data confuses the system. Especially after the system update from sxm.
The fix? When you contact sxm tell them you want the "Music & Entertainment" package. Took me 4 CSR to understand what I wanted! They will apologize profusely and offer the "platinum" package. No thanks! My 2015 doesn't like it. Several others I know have said the same thing. Worked for them as well.
