Diesel GLE Emissions Recall Performance
We recently had the recall completed on our 16 GLE 300D Bluetec and the check engine light has come on twice. The first time w returned to the dealer and they did not confirm any firm problem, but several new parts were ordered. Before we returned to have them installed the check engine light came on again and now several times on the expressway it will not exceed 55 mph or so - basically around 5th gear.
Just looking for feedback on this repair and the reliability of the car longer term as this is pretty disappointing. About a 15-20 % drop in fuel economy which is basically why we purchased the vehicle.
60 mile drive to work daily. We bought the car with 24k miles, it now has 140k.
Unfortunately the dealer completed the recall during a routine 10,000 mile service without giving us the option to refuse.
