Mercedes Maybach Teased

I think one of the problems with the last generation of Maybach was that when it was first released they had a bunch of really bad two-toned color combinations on them, i.e., Brewster Green/Tan, etc. Also everyone that I saw had a reddish/orange color wood in them. That and previous generation technology I think is what sank that ship.

Just going to point this out here.
The 2015 S600 rear seat can recline Maybach style too. Granted the interior on the maybach is indeed stepped up a notch - but does it warrant the premium price?
I see what you mean about having the option of a front seat passenger (which makes sense). However, logistically - does this make sense? The passenger in the back seat passenger side is the VIP. What I am trying to get at here is that if you look at it in the big picture - what scenario is the back seat passenger lounged out while someone is also in front seat. Bodyguard in front? Certainly not a spouse...Certainly not a child. Get where I am going? Anyway, just a sunday evening Ramble.

that maybach makes the 600 look almost cramped.
really, the 600 makes a perfectly fine chauffered car, but if you really got the bucks to not care, the maybach is the one.

WOW! now thats a car.
I actually find the length increase very proportional. The car has some real elegance to the exterior and that rear seat area is incredible.
hats off to MB on this one.

I agree, they finally got it right and if the 200K price is true this thing will sell this time around. I see it being more like 225-250K though, a little more than the S65 AMG.

yes, there definitely is some similarity there (although i see it more with the prior model spur). The new spur has a hideous *** end though.
Really though I also see pieces of the maser QP in the C pillar.
Nevertheless, the lines take to this added length very well. Whereas the prior cars looks sort of bulky and awkward, this version flows very well. If you didn't tell me that was a maybach, I would say, yup, looks like a nice S600.
That said, is there a big enough market for chauffer driven cars? (probably in other countries more). At least in my area (downtown NYC), the vast majority of execs have black plain jane S550s. Some of the more showy types may get the bach.
Either way, one hell of a luxury car, but the place to be in this car will always be the rear seat.
this is my favorite pic...oh and I love these wheels:

So above S/7/A8 but below Bentley and RR. (I assume they mean below the Flying Spur, Mulsanne, and Ghost since they say there's no direct competitors. And clearly below Phantom.)

that is a nice backseat, but hey, we all like MB
the way the trim flows down the backdoor is really nice.....
I'd love to have this job: maybe about an hour a day is all I could take lol
