From time to time...
These two are insufferable. Chris Harris might be the last insightful automotive journalist out there.

This really wasn't a positive review. The driver was more excited than the passenger. Thanks for the link though, some good shots of the car.

The passenger was trying to be nonchalant and funny - but comes across as mocking and like a carpathian russian where nothing can be right even when it is the norm. Examples -

"You bring me seltzer - it is too cold"
"Why so much food on my plate?"

etc/

Nothing actually wrong with the subject - but they just need to hear themselves be bitter ****heads about it. Can't just enjoy or tone down their nastiness.

"Ah we get to hawaii - why it is so hot!? It is so hot!" THEN DONT GOD DAMN GO TO HAWAIII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

none
Those wheels look like a redesign of the S600 W220 rims. I like them a lot. Best non AMG rims. BTW I think that guy who does the head 2 heads does better reviews.

having black paint on the rear pillar and chrome on the front and window surrounds looks weird. wonder why they did that.

That is weird. Luckily that is an easy fix.

2013 S550 4matic (AMG sport package), 2016 Corvette Stingray.
Im sorry looks way too much like the W222 compared to the differences in the previous Maybach and W221. They should have diferentiated it more than they did, exterior wise. Smh.

I think that was the whole point. Maybach is not a separate brand anymore, its become a subset of mercedes, just like AMG.

the car also starts at $190k not $300k+

The former 240 chassis maybach is not a very good looking car, so I think this is the better choice.

Now it makes sense. Now that u say that I also noticed the steering wheel has a Mercedes emblem on it.

Mercedes-Maybach S600 / Testdrive and Interview with the Chief Engineer (German) - YouTube
I think the wheels are sensational looking, but I'm wondering why they produced them in the 20" size, being exclusive to the Maybach. As has been documented many times on this site, the larger the rim, the shallower the sidewall, the stiffer the ride. For the Maybach, I would have thought they would be after the most comfortable ride possible and would have produced a great looking 18" wheel, with very comfortable riding conventional tires. With the extra length of the wheelbase, you would have thought the engineers could have found a spot for at least a compact spare. A gigantic, extra long wheelbase saloon and no place for a spare. Go figure. I wonder if the Pullman will have one?

The Pullman will have neither 18" wheels nor a spare in the trunk. Making the car longer doesn't change the size of the trunk. It only gets smaller with the fridge and Burmeister 3D.
I do have to admit that I have never read any reviews of the S-Class where anyone lamented not having 18" wheels. The complaints about run flats is consistent of course but not about wheel size, or the spare for that matter.
Keep in mind that the S-Class is one of many cars without a spare. And it's not new for MB; our 2003 SL55 didn't come with spare either...
