New Verde Brook Metallic (green) S550
We just pulled the trigger on a green (Verde Brook Metallic) 2016 S550. As others have observed, the color is quite dark in low light conditions, but the olive green really pops under any sort of light. So far I haven't seen another green S on the road (either this shade, or the lighter Emerald Green Metallic), but when I finally do I'll be sure to wave hello!

I wish that MB would offer more in the way of color choices that were not yet another shade of BLACK. I would also like to see more non-metallic colors. Right now, on most higher end models, your solid color choices are black and maybe a red, with all other colors being metallic, pearl or matte. Why not a magnificent British Racing Green, a wonderful Sepia Brown, a lovely Maple Yellow, or even a crisp Alpine White? In trying to be so creative, I find that all MB has ended up with are various shades of black and gray. Survey says: BORING!

Here are two photos of the 2016 Verde Brook Metallic S550 taken a couple of hours ago during a break in this SoCal rain storm. You can see the interesting variation in color between shaded and sun-reflective areas.

To paint your car any Mercedes-Benz color that has been used before, is $5,150. In addition to that, you would have to pay the $2,500 PA1 custom charge.
I am not sure for colors other than MB colors. I am sure it's a lot more, and whether they would do it or not, depends on the drying time for the color, and it's compatibility with their paint booths.

If it were like Porsche, where they would do a "Color to Sample," for like $4,000.00, that would be a home run. But I think the charge at MB is something over $20K to use one of their existing colors, which I feel is just ridiculous.
