So CAL gas problems
Anybody have issues filling up with CA gas pumps?
im n so cal, san diego.. almost every pump i use has the same issue.. 3-4 dollars in and it clicks like its a full tank. Almost like the gas tube gets congested and makes the nozzle shut off.
Anybody else have this issue?? Super annoying

You can try turning the hose-nozzle upside down, some say this helps, not sure if it does. And yeah, very annoying.

I do not have any issues with any of my Mercedes. I buy gas mostly at Chevron (PCH at Crown Valley) stations, occasionally at Unocal. Several years ago I had a problem at the ARCO on Rosecrants in Point Loma. I think it was likely a pump maintenance issue. There are significant differences in the nozzle design at different gas stations. One design might work better than others in your cars. I put gas in at least 2 of the cars every week.

I’ve had this issue at a couple of stations, but it’s a bit different than your situation. Some pump nozzles seems to fit into the fuel inlet awkwardly, so the nozzle slips out of the inlet a bit unless I hold the pump handle firmly (too many jokes, brain hurts). This triggers the pump nozzle sensor into thinking I’ve removed the nozzle from the tank, so it shuts off.
Very annoying to have to hold the handle the entire time I’m filling it up. (Also lazy on my part to think this qualifies as “annoying.”)
My other two vehicles have no issues at the same pumps/stations.

I had this issue with my 2015 C300, a real pain to lean on the nozzle to make it fill! However at the same station my S450 fills normally. Not sure what MB changed but now ok.
