Replaced the passenger side idler pulley.
Hi all. Husband come home and says the Maybach has a wine to it. We do a bit of investigation and it is coming from the belt area. More specifically the idler pulley on passenger side top above the alternator is making the noise.
The car has 60,000 miles on it and I would think these things would last longer but such is life. I brought up my copy of WIS and got the directions to do the job. The pulley was about 60 dollars with tax and perhaps about a half hour to replace. I realize that our w222s have different engines but I am guessing there are some similarities to doing the job.
Perhaps this might help someone that also develops this noise.
