When's the last time you saw a Ferrari 250 GTO on the highway?
Indeed, not a replica built on the chassis of an old Datsun Z or anything like that, but a genuine Ferrari 250 GTO on the road ...
As luck would have it, three of the 39 total 250 GTOs produced reside around here, two in the hands of former MSFT executives (one with their chief software officer from 1979-1998, the other with their president from 1983 to 1990).
This one made it out to a local cars and coffee type event this weekend, but what makes it truly interesting is that the owner doesn't have it transported in via an insured service. Instead, he puts a license plate on it and drives it in via I-405 and highway 520. Just have to admire that in a ~$40M Ferrari ...
And yes, those are also his 599 GTO, SA Aperta, Enzo, F40, and LaFerrari in the photo. The picture was taken earlier, but the 250 GTO was out again this weekend.
