Since these new fangled Chinese EVs have ranges approaching 1000-KM, sub 3-sec 0-62, and laden with LIDAR, I would get rid of those ugly screens altogether and give all occupants VR Goggles and the Driver a Formula 1 type Helmet with holographic built in displays and F1 steering wheel. I wear a high end Aerodynamic Arai for my Ducati so very used to Helmets.
Would hate to live in China prefer Singapore, Japan, or AUS/NZ for fresh air...

Yeah, everyone is focused on BYD vs Tesla but it's actually Geely that's the greatest threat, they just have so many different brands they kind of fly under the radar. And Jaguar Land Rover will be using Chery's platform for their upcoming high-end EVs, like the last vehicle in this video. Anywhosies, I just can't get over the difference in atmosphere between the two auto shows though. Even the colors of the cars... it's like everything is black, white and grey in the USA these days

Sydney EV show is full of Chinese cars! I'm particularly interested in the Chery at 7:45 as that's the company that'll be making Jaguar's 2026 EV. Well, if Chery can stay in business that long anyways. If not, the Jaguar brand may truly be dead. It's probably dead in the USA already with Biden's 100% tariff.

Kyle is in China and reviewed a bunch more if you're really interested. The moving parts might be concerning but the batteries aren't as they actually have working battery swap stations all over China now, so worries about degredation and recycling are already a thing of the past there.

I'm pretty sure I'd be driving a YangWang if I had a choice. Maybe two of them, their floating SUV and hyper car. Chinese tech can be a somewhat intrusive though. All this AI stuff has been great for their stock prices but I'm not sure I want my car to be that smart. I'd rather they respect my privacy... but Android Automotive is just as bad so I guess it doesn't really matter anymore. There's no hope for privacy.
