1973 107 Coupe
Just happened to see that Chaplin's have a 1973 SL R107 with 145k on the clock. Price just under $5k. It looks quite nice from the photos.
If it were a convertible I would have been posting my own pics of it![Wink](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)

In fact I might just and take a look at it for no good reason.

Technically it is a C107 I suppose since it is an SLC. I walked around the lot but never actually saw it. Did see a nice Carrera 2 though...
It does seem like an awfully low price. Wonder how what shape it is really in.

For some reason, I like SLCs, 70s chic. That car is still probably overpriced, though. They've had it for over a month now, started off a couple thousand higher, IIRC. SLCs are slow sellers - they don't handle particularly well and guzzle gas like a period American car - but a nice cruiser anyway. The Chaplins car does appear to be pretty solid and clean, I looked at it once and didn't see any obvious rust.
This gorgeous SLC brought 6K at auction - had I known at the time it was being sold, I would have been tempted. Early models are the ones to have, small bumpers.

As I rent a garage for my fintail because my building only has one garage spot per unit, I feel your pain. If I had a large garage or land, I'd have a regular hoard/junkyard by now.
