Hello from Beaverton Oregon!
Just saying hello to the PNW Mercedes crew!
I bought a 2002 C32 AMG a couple days ago so figured I have something worth while to post about. My wife has had a 2002 C230 coupe 6-speed for a couple years now, but it's all stock and in perfect condition.
Are there any meets that happen with the mercedes group here in Portland? I know of a couple euro meets (Southwest and Tannesbourne). The one at the top of 185th is close to where I live so I'll be going to that one more often. They meet up at 8pm on tuesday every week to hang out and eat Pizza. I think it's mostly VW/Audi and a couple Volvos.

We did the Port Townsend cruise that Achtuning organized a few weeks ago. We did another random meetup at Dick's in Lynnwood with a bunch of other gearheads.
I did the MG club's Tulip Rallye a couple of weeks ago (which the PNW MBCA participated in).

Euro meet tomorrow again. I just got the coilovers put on my old Volvo 240 turbo so i'll probably drive that. Lots of vw's there, fun people though. They do cruises all the time. Any Mercedes guys going to venture out tomorrow?

Sorry, I forgot about this thread. The Volvo club I participate in is doing a drag night at p.i.r. on the 22nd about 7pm. There should be a couple 3-500hp old volvos drag racing that night. I just ordered some magnecor race wires and ngk laser iridium plugs from needswings.com today. I'll be dragracing the C32 as long as I can get the new ignition parts installed before then. Anybody else want to go fast in a straight line?

Just got back from the drags, there was pretty much nobody there. Got 12 runs in about 2 hours. Best time of the night was 13.634 @ 103.93. I think with some better tires and a big heat exchanger will be down to 13.4 pretty easily. You guys really need to come out, only about $40 for the evening.

Update in the Portland world! I just got a new job and the brand new Beaverton Mercedes dealership. If anybody needs parts, let me know! I still haven't seen many other Mercedes people down here. Went to a Ferrari club thing a couple times and have seen a black e55 and black c55 there. What's up Portland? Not really into community things?

Nice to hear an update! BTW, did you know your C32 has a non C32 grille? MB used that grille design on lower end C Classes, and I don't believe any US spec C Classes had that grille- only the base model Canadian models. Since you work at the dealer, you should consider ordering the grille meant for your car which has three chrome ribs, a gloss black background, and IMO a much cleaner look.
