02 G500 Halogen to hid.. having problem HELP please

hello all. i have installed a set of hids from Hidexpress. They turn on blink like a strobe light on low. and nothing on hi. Im getting the hi & low beam out message on the dash.

I read where i need to have the setting changed to bi xenon, went to have it done and the dealer said he cant do that. Its not a option.

So back to the house, I used little 25w resistiors to plug into the wiring to get the low beams to work for the weekend. All is good and fine. The lights work like they are suppose to except for having high beams.

So is there a step by step procudure on line anyplace that i can print off and take back to my dealer so he can perform this for me. Needless to the wife is not to happy.

I would recommend finding another dealer to program it.

If your HID kit is the type that connects directly to battery and switches on with a relay, you can connect the relay to your parking lights instead of main headlights. That will let you use the HID lights without the resister, but still with a lights out message.

you are correct you do need to have ur g hooked up to stardiags and have it reflashed for xenons present else the xenons will blink and never come on.

and i quote

Steve mbenznl

"If the car's settings are not changed after the (bi)xenons have been installed, the lights will flicker every once in a while and will not stay on constantly. "
