Can anyone tell me how to install a window switch on an '05 55 motor?

I'm guessing you didn't get an answer in your other thread . . . sorry to hear that.

While I'm not sure where the pickup is on the Mercs, I've dealt with this before on other coil-per-cylinder applications. You typically have 2 possibilities. One is to try to get a signal off of one of the wires in the coil pack's wiring harness. Sometimes one of these wires will carry a usable signal. Your other option is to tap the rpm signal wire running into the ECU. For this you'll need to track down either a wiring diagram or just someone who knows.

Sorry I can't offer more specific help, but considering your previous lack of success with this topic, I thought I'd chime in with whatever I could.

GOOD LUCK ! ! ! ! ! ! !
