Launching An S65.....

Does anyone know the best way to launch the S65 out of the hole? I'm getting my S65 tomorrow and although I won't be racing it all the time, it would be helpful to get some ideas on this! I know that when I want to play with my Z06 Vette, I can take off the traction control so that it doesn't knock down the engine when the wheels start to come loose. Is there a way to do the same thing with the Benz or........just punch it and hold on?....lol. Also, is it benifcial to use the manual mode when shifting?
Any info would be great!

...........in most high horse power Benzes, the automatic transmission will do a far better job of shifting and getting you a faster 1/4 mile time than you can do on your own. If you just want to play, then you can do the shifting yourself. There is no consensus on this, but it appears that leaving ESP on will also give you a faster time by reducing wheel spin. You turn ESP off, do a burn out, then turn ESP back on, break torque, then let it go smoothly for a one or seconds then hammer it down once the car is in motion. Good luck and congratulations on a very nice car.

Hey, thanks for the reply Ted. I'm sure that I will figure some of it out on my own but, it never hurts to learn a thing or two from others!

Yep. All it takes is some practice and you will end up getting it down.
